I walked into ace this morning at 8am when they opened the doors. One old grumpy worker came out of the back complaining that I was in his store so early asking for help with something I was looking for. Must've been judging me by the way I look because they allowed to other men to walk by them, no questions asked. Very judgemental people in here, I would stray away from this Ace if you do not want to be discriminated against for the way you look or dress. As a licensed tradesman whom holds a city of Chicago license, this is disgraceful.

I tried to go to the neighborhood hardware store to give them business and not go to a Home Depot or Lowe's and the old white man with glasses is extremely stupid or Prejudice or maybe both every time I try to use my rewards card he gives me some excuse I will no longer go and pay for the overpriced items I'd rather deal with the stupidity of Home Depot employees instead of trying to give a Neighborhood Place some business.

When it comes to getting real help when you need it, you can't beat your local hardware store. Ace in Norwood Park is definitely that local spot with helpful staff. Had an issue with a pipe under my kitchen sink, and brought the parts in and talked to a very helpful expert named Dave who guided me in the right direction. Compare that to the big box store where you have to struggle to get a moment with a staff member, or even end up with someone who has no idea about what you need help with. I definitely recommend Ace hardware and other smaller local hardware shops.

They send worthless coupons by mail, such as $5 off with minimum $5 purchase. When you check out they say can't it's on sale. No sale price posted. Then ou get a few cents off. Scam! Heard this from other people also. I don't know how they stay in business, they are so expensive.
